Sometimes the most delicate and interesting patterns are found in the paint tray.   Many of these abstract pieces consist of re-purposed acrylic "cast offs" and may include elements from nature.   Chaos becomes beauty as random patterns are assembled into something graceful and energetic.

Encaustic is a painting method in which wax and pigment are fused onto a surface with heat.  This style of painting has been around for centuries and was first used to create portraits. In the 20th Century, Encaustic painting has regained popularity because of its vibrant colors, transparent qualities and durability.

Selected images are available as prints.  We use archival quality art paper to deliver an image that will last at least 75+ years.
